"Cabrillo College gave me a good education, but after a year at UCSC, I feel that nothing is impossible.  I feel that I can make a difference."

Karl S. Pister Scholarship

Plans after graduation
To attend graduate school and become a professor

Edgar grew up one of 15 children in Watsonville.  Family circumstances forced him to delay his education in favor of full-time work for many years, but he eventually enrolled at Cabrillo College, and from there transferred to USC as a Pister Scholar.

Edgar is pursuing the intensive literature major with a concentration in modern literature and a minor in film and digital media.  His interest in literature blossomed into a fascination with documentary filmmaking, and he says that the faculty have been wonderfully supportive of his endeavors.
