Financial Aid for International Students
We’re so glad you’re part of the UC Santa Cruz community! While most need-based financial aid programs are limited to U.S. citizens and eligible noncitizens, there are still financial support options available to international students.
What’s Available
International students typically are not eligible for federal, state, or university need-based financial aid if you hold one of the following visa types:
- F-1 or F-2 (Student Visa)
- J-1 or J-2 (Exchange Visitor Visa)
- G Series, H Series, and other temporary nonimmigrant visas
