Study Abroad & Away

Financial Aid is available to UCSC students who study abroad or away through a UC program. UC study abroad/away programs include UCEAP, UCSC Exchanges, UCSC Global Seminars, UCSC Global Virtual Internships, UC Washington Program (UCDC), and Other UC programs. If enrolled in a UC program, students can use their financial aid to help cover the costs. Students participating in independent programs are not eligible for financial aid, but can apply for private funding.

The Financial Aid and Scholarship Office determines your financial aid eligibility for the program you are admitted to using the total estimated cost of attendance. For information on study abroad/away programs and application requirements, visit the UCSC Study Abroad website.

To apply for aid, follow instructions in the Get Started section of this website. It is important to meet all deadlines to maximize your eligibility for financial aid.
